I can only speak about recliners, but I have put them on 3 very different chairs with ease and great fit. One piece from the top, over the back, another on the seat, one for each arm, and the footrest. zip, zip and you're done. They don't protect from everything, but they do catch accidental dirty shoes, food crumbs, pb&j, etc. Wash and dry with no problems. Now, I let the kids eat lunch on the furniture. It's a nice look to quickly re-do worn furniture, too.

The color didn't match and it's not burgundy it's more rust, it didn't look good on the chair, too much excess, believe me this cover is not for all chairs, I ended up buying a regular chair throw, the color was right and it fit well, this is a waste of money.
