We use it inbetween our regular large vacuuming. It does a fair job, not a deep clean. It's worth the money if you don't need a thorough cleaning. Also good on wood, tile floors.

I upgraded to this one, from the original, and I love it. It is SO much easier to get this out and clean up, than to have to get the heavy vacuum cleaner. It is also easier to empty, with the redesign of the cover like a trap door. Do not hesitate to buy this.
