I have this particular small and cute cooler in my Rooms Head bored and it really helps to keep my room cool during those extreme heats in the summertime "just use ice," I filled it with purified water or ice and it really does work! If you want to just use water then I suggest using purified water to circulate better through this particular cooler when using in the day's or night's. None of this every four hours as it said in the instruction. If you want the water to last until the next day, then fill up the plastic canister bottle with ice or simply freeze the bottle in the freezer. Note: give it 15 min. to reach its full cooling capacity as it slowly starts to cool.

used in room where air flow in closet was not so good and the cooler worked enough so we did not die from heat, but I intended to use it in my old vehicle where A/C does not work and that will not happen.
