Keep this lifesaving tool in your car in case of an accident. The powerful steel points will quickly break a side window in case your power is disrupted and your door is jammed. And, the safety blade will slice through jammed seat belts so you can quickly escape. Comes with mounting bracket and safety caps. 7" long, with glow-in-the-dark tab on handle.
This hammer is used to break the window to escape...The handle is cheap plastic and not anything like the original of 10 years ago...

Comments about Escape Hammer:
it's a little smaller than it is portrayed in the catalog, and appears it would require someone with pretty good strength to shatter a window with it; however, in an emergency situation, you would be surprised how much strength you can exert.

Comments about Escape Hammer:
The "Escape Hammer"s blade is very sharp. I used it to open several un-open-able packages which came in the same mailing with it! I have not had a chance to use in an emergency yet, thank God. The only problem I have found with it so far is that I can't mount it in my car without drilling into some part of the dash or door or something. So, my "Escape Hammer" is riding in the map pocket on my drivers door. I hope never to have to use it but it is nice to know I can reach into the map pocket and slice and smash my way out of a crashed car.

Comments about Escape Hammer:
I mounted the hammer in my headliner in my truck so it's reachable from front and back seat. I used self-drilling screws from the DIY store. The holes made in the headliner are inconsequential if the hammer is ever needed. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that the screws weren't included.
