It does soften the skin but for me, it replaced the dark circles with red ones which were a bit irritating. Perhaps as an older woman, my skin is too sensitive.

This is a great product, but my problem is with enlarged blood vessels under the skin, not just dark circles. I will continue to use this product as i see the texture of the skin around my eyes seems to be improving.
