I bought this for my mother, after she had a light stroke about three years ago; she has a hard time getting into the tub and cannot stand for a shower. This is perfect for anyone like that, or would feel safer starting on a bench-style shower chair that is on the outside first, then scoot or slide over into the tub side. This bench is still holding up well, and would buy another when needed.
