If you've ever suffered from the cold, you'll wonder how you did without this special aluminized, stretch fabric developed for NASA to protect astronauts from the incredible cold of deep space. The fabric reflects body heat and thousands of tiny pockets trap it. The results are lightweight, easy-to-move-in socks that keep your feet protected and warm in sub-zero weather. Men's thermal socks are machine washable.
Thermal Glove Liners are sold separately in our Hats & Gloves Section. We also sell Thermal Socks for Women. Just look in our Hosiery & Intimates Section to find socks that will protect women's feet from the cold.
We've bought these in the past, and for women with wider feet in the medium/large sizes, the men's version fits better than the ladies version. They don't work very well by themselves as socks, which the comments seem to indicate most customers tried. On the other hand, because they aren't bulky, you can put them on under your winter wool socks or thicker cotton "rag" socks, or even merino wool cable knee socks, and they will do wonders to keep feet warm. My toes would always get too cold in spite of socks and boots until I added the men's ankle socks to my usual socks as a liner. My legs didn't need the extra protection of the longer socks, but people who are very thin might prefer the longer ones or the women's version in the longer length.
